Our diary entry dated 10.05.07:
Dear Diary,
Monday, we got up at 5:30 and packed the camp and coach and the bus left Airlie Beach at 7:00. It was raining this morning so it was so hard to pack the camp up.Talking about that Ely and me, we got heaps of water in our tent last night which was awful!!
Then our long trip on the bus started. We watched I Robot on the way, everyone enjoyed it (i reckon), listening to the ipod, sleeping, reading and so on, as we are used to do.
We had lunch in Maryborough which was really short time I guess. After that, we hopped on the coach again and departed for Roslyn Bay Marina to board the ferry to Great Keppel Island. It was around half past 3 that the ferry departed. The ferry rocked heavily so I couldn’t even stand up on board. It took an hour to arrive to the island.
After we arrived at the hostel, we got some free time. Some people went to the beach, some went for a walk, we did whatever we wanted. At 6:30 we had dinner at the restaurant and we ate fish and chips!!! I think everyone enjoyed our company!
Well, it’s time to go to bed… already 10 to 10. I’m going to see the sunrise tomorrow, it’s gonna be so much fun!!

Our second entry from that day:
We got up at 5.30 which is now standard but when you think it can’t get worse you realize there is a huge pool in the tent. And then of comes the rain… So that made pretty much the day for everyone.
We left at about 7 for a « shorter » bus trip where we had a comfort stop and watched I-Robot…
We arrived after lunch at the Roslyn Bay Harbour to catch the ferry to Keppel Island.
The ferry ride well… I think no one expected such a ride. Well I think everyone enjoyed it except the two guys on the deck and Tony and Margaret.
We arrived and got our bunkers… BEDS!!!! Oh yeah… After that we watched the sunset and went for a swim. flooring, Joha and Calle buried me in the sand to the head and went for a swim…. Thx for that guys…. f#x’’k…
We went to the restaurant and had good food sick bar.
