… in Charters Towers!
Our diary entry dated 07.05.07:
Dear Diary!
We got up at 5 o’clock in the morning, way too early. Well actually, everybody is already used to it anyway.
The whole day practically contained bus driving, stopping for some comfort stops, morning tea and lunch and watching two movies.
It’s really funny how the hours in the bus changed: in the beginning everybody was totally excited and talked, laughed, played music and cards. Now, everybody is sleeping and being a little bored, bus …. might be good!
Everybody was totally excited when we found out that we didn’t have sandwiches but noodles for lunch today =) Go Carol!!!
In the late afternoon, we arrived @ our camping site for tonight (Charters Towers); After we put up our tents, the first thing we did was hopping in the pool. Yeah. After all, we had a good but lazy day on the bus! Good don’t we all love driving on Australians roads without seeing anything but bush and ….? =)

Our second entry from that day:
Thank God we are back home in the Sunshine State. I love it!
Except for QLD roads - they suck.
The bus trip was boring and the entertainment was not any better. Many people used the time for a little sleep and so did I. the morning tea stop was the best ever and I had the sausage rolls. Thank God because the lunch break was short and the food was just acceptable.
Tomorrow we going to Townsville and from then on we will stay near the coast for the rest of the trip. That will be the best part of the entire trip.
